As a seller of cards you send the cards to the folks at checkoutmycards.com, they scan each and every card, lookup book prices and add them to their system. You then login and set asking prices - the website stores your cards and ships them out for you! As a seller there are no orders to fill or multiple trips to the post office! Cards that are sold yield store credit which you can then use to purchase other cards or cash it out! Happy shopping! Till next time!

A first look - Checkoutmycards.com
A little while back I featured sportlots.com on this blog. A similar setup is the relatively new site Checkoutmycards.com Like sportlots.com this website allows users to search for cards on their want list by player name or by sport, then year, set and so on. Find a card you want, have a look at the scan, add the card to your virtual shopping cart - it is that simple. Yes you get to look at a scan of the actual card you are buying! You can also make offers on cards if you don't like the price listed. The cards are then shipped from checkoutmycards.com directly! That's right - all of the cards listed on their site are held in their inventory. This is unlike sportslots.com where the cards stay with the individual sellers and are only stored collectively in the website's database.

Another benefit of the site is the combined shipping they do. Sure, the price for the first card ($3) is a little more than what you would normally be changed on eBay. But, if you buy more than one card from an eBay seller, you get charged around $2.50 for each first card. COMC will only charge you the $3 for the first card you get no matter how many "sellers" you buy from.
ReplyDeleteThey also let you grab images of the cards, anybodys cards, for their blogs or for posting on message boards. I've done it a couple times on my "player of the day" feature on my blog.
ReplyDeleteGood points "PatsCards"! Thanks for the post!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I love COMC. They're very quick to ship, too, and usually enough of the cards come in new toploaders to protect those that do not. Shipping is very reasonable so long as you're buying more than one card. Typically, on Friday's I'll spend $20 on five to nine jersey/autograph cards that I like. Great fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat blog!
ReplyDeleteOn a side note, my blog www.canadacardworldblog.com has been nominated for the Upper Deck Blog Awards. If you're interested in some free sports cards, please visit our site, follow the simple rules, and maybe we both can win!
Thanks.
Yep they did a 10-10-10 promotion. You could get 40 cards shipped for 10 bucks not too bad, that works out to about a quarter per card or .17 for 39 if you figure $3.00 for the first card. There bulk shipping deal is the way to go too if you buy a lot of cards. the $15.00 for 50 is way more economical in the long run for larger lots. Good deals and great selection. I love the scans you can get a good look at corners, centering and back and decided if you want a card or move on to the next one on the list.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips. Usually, I do not post on blogs, but I wish to say that this post really forced me to do so! Thanks, incredibly nice article. Thank you lots, I am obliged to announce that your blog is excellent!
